On November 20 and 21 we hosted PUM export specialist Victor Phaff in Armenia. The purpose of the visit is to study the possibilities of exporting Armenian agricultural products.

We made our first visit to the Jraghatspanyan Winery. We had a tour in the factory and wine tasting.
In the Jraghatspanyan Winery, we also had a meeting with other winemakers. They presented their wines for testing as well.

Afterward, a number of export-related issues were discussed, and Victor Phaff shared his experience and gave advices.

The second day we had a visit to “Armenia wine” factory. During the tour, the process of winemaking started from grape harvesting to the bottling line was presented. Victor Phaff was impressed by the Museum of Wine History of Armenia, which bears the history of 6000-year-old Armenian winemaking and 8000-year-old viticulture. At the end of the tour we had a taste of three wines: red, white and sparkling. This was his first visit to Armenia and he was very impressed and expressed his interest in further cooperation.
